Mug Cake (oven baked)

The all time classic dessert is without doubt, chocolate cake. For this easy and healthy recipe, just mix the ingredients in a mug and bake in the oven (or even in the microwave). The key to make this cake fudgy is using both chocolate chips and cocoa for extra flavour and richness.

Ingredients (for 1 mug)

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsps almond milk (or any other plant-based milk)
  • 2 tbsps honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C.

In an oven safe mug, stir together the dry ingredients with a fork.

Add the wet ingredients mixing with a fork until all the clumps have completely disappeared.

Stir with chocolate chips.

Bake on oven at 180°C for 15-25 minutes.
